From helping refugees learn Swedish to The Future of Education

Yashar Moradbakhti started out as computer science major from KTH in Stockholm and has worked globally with technology for companies such as Spotify, EA Games, MTGx, Schibsted, Telia in many countries but love to call Stockholm home. Currently CEO and founder of Lingio, a social startup that helps refugees learn languages and much more. Yashar loves dancing, chocolate och Persian food.

This is a story about how we started our social startup with the ambition to help refugees learn Swedish and quickly get into society. Patiently we have turned this into solid business, with customers from government agencies, trade organisations, corporations that use our digital apps and language courses to both recruit refugees and also to help existing staff to communicate better in Swedish. All of this with heavy focus on innovations, using AI wisely and always thinking about the end user needs first and then building the tech that supports them.
