Let us introduce Sebnem Rusitschka from Freeelio!
"I loved being a researcher for Siemens in the past 11 years, in the intersection of distributed systems, machine learning, decentralized energy networks, and business model innovation. 2016 was the year, in which many of the technologies I researched became mature enough, and a few trends were so undeniably obvious, that I founded Freeelio in September 2016 while still working for Siemens in part time.
The plan was do Customer Discovery à la Lean Startup, which turned into a passion for doing what can and needs to be done:
With fellow decentralists we founded the ElectraSeed consortium, for accelerating electricity access through Blockchain and AI. I left Siemens to focus on Freeelio full time end of June - the next day we founded the German Blockchain Association, for creating the regulatory framework for this innovation. Freeelio will become a Decentralized Autonomous Corporation within the next 18 months, with the goal to develop AI that understands power systems - and use that to make electricity free.

In the talk, I will give some insights into what we think is possible with Blockchain Technology and one example how it could be started today."

Inspirational speech: Why do we fear? - Henkka Hyppönen
Fear makes us stupid. Most of the time. It hinders our IQ and makes high level group intelligence almost impossible. This is concerning, since the jobs in the future will mainly consist of creative problem solving. Fear as a concept is most of the time misunderstood, and this year in Edge conference it's time to bust those misunderstandings, and be a bit more specific about what fear is, how it works and how to dismantle its negative effects, to get great shit done.
This year's inspirational speaker Henri “Henkka" Hyppönen is the co-founder and creative director of +1 Agency, a multidisciplinary problem solving company based in Helsinki. He has written four books. His latest book “Why We Fear” dismantles fear from its mystique into understandable and actionable parts by leaning in thorough research, practical examples and catchy stories. On his free time, Henkka hosts tv-shows.

What does this revolution and the new knowledge era mean for organizations, and how to deal with the accelerating change – that’s what our keynote speech is all about.
